The cancellation policy can be found on your confirmation as well as on the rental property's webpage. It is the guests' responsibility to read their confirmation and review the property policies.
Occupancy limits are set for a number of reasons: city ordinances, fire codes, insurance concerns, etc. Property owners have these limits for a reason and they simply can't bend those rules.

The booking fee covers the time and effort that the Pacific Reservations staff puts completing your booking as well as the fee for charging your credit card (in most cases).
